Oak Marche is a dark oak in which the Rustic grading is the point. Rustic is the most generous of the appearance grades: nothing the tree produced is edited out, so sound knots, mineral streaks, colour movement and broad cathedral figure all remain in the board.
Under a dark colour those features read as deeper shadow, and the floor gains a tonal range that a clean-graded dark oak simply cannot have. It is worth saying plainly that grade describes appearance only — every board here is kiln-dried and engineered to the same standard, and wears exactly the same.
The timeworn-brushed surface deepens the effect further, undulating gently and opening the grain unevenly, and the UV-cured oil finish keeps the whole thing matt and open rather than sealed under a film. Medium variation carries the movement from board to board. Boards are 7 1/2″ wide in 72″ random lengths, 9/16″ engineered, with a 3 mm wear layer.
