European Oak Flooring Oak Castillian
Oak Castillian is a dark European oak drawn from the world of Spanish monastery and palace floors — deep, weighty timber worn smooth in the centre of the room and left rough at the edges.
The timeworn-brushed surface reproduces that condition honestly. The brushing is worked deeper and less regularly than a conventional wire-brush, so the face of the board undulates, the edges soften, and the grain opens to different depths across a single plank. A UV-cured oil finish then cures into those fibres rather than filling them, keeping the surface open and matt.
Rustic grading keeps the knots, streaks and figure the effect depends on, and medium variation means no two boards read alike. The board is 7 1/2″ wide in 72″ random lengths on a 9/16″ engineered core with a 3 mm wear layer.
It is the natural ground for Mediterranean and Spanish colonial architecture, hacienda-style residences, and interiors built on stone, iron, terracotta and dark timber.
