European Oak Flooring Oak Levante
Oak Levante is a dark European oak finished in UV-cured oil, and the finish is what defines it. Oil does not sit on the timber; it penetrates the top fibres and cures within them, so the surface you see and touch is oak itself. On a dark colour that produces a depth no film finish can reach — the colour appears to come from inside the board rather than from a coat above it.
Curing under ultraviolet light in the factory gives that oil modern hardness and makes the floor usable the day it is laid, while leaving the open, matt, low-reflectance surface of a traditional oiled floor.
The timeworn-brushed texture works with it, opening the grain deeply and unevenly so the oil settles at varying depths. Rustic grading and medium variation supply the character and tonal movement. Boards are 7 1/2″ wide in 72″ random lengths, 9/16″ engineered, with a 3 mm wear layer.
Specified for studies, dining rooms, libraries and principal suites where a deep, quiet floor is wanted.
