Oak Bordeaux takes its name from the wine country of south-west France, and the colour earns it: a deep brown with red held in the base, the tone of oak that has spent time in a cellar rather than oak that has been stained dark.

That red undertone is what separates this floor from a neutral dark oak. It warms a room instead of cooling it, flatters walnut, brass, leather and terracotta, and gives white plaster and pale stone something rich to sit against.

Rustic grading brings knots, streaks and figure forward, all reading deeper than the field, and medium variation keeps the tone moving across a 9 1/2″ board. The UV-cured oil finish keeps reflectance low so the colour reads as depth, and the wire-brushed texture opens the grain. A 5/8″ engineered core carries a 3 mm wear layer.
