European Oak Flooring Oak Bastille
Oak Bastille brings a deep, dark colour onto a 9 1/2″ wide plank running to 86.5″ in length. Scale and darkness together are what give this floor its authority: fewer joints, longer runs, and a tone that anchors everything placed on it.
Rustic grading is what keeps a floor this large alive. Knots, mineral streaks and broad cathedral figure have the room to be seen properly on a board of this width, and medium variation means the tone moves gently from plank to plank rather than sitting flat.
The finish is UV-cured oil — cured into the top fibres of the timber rather than forming a film above them — giving an open, matt, low-reflectance surface that lets a dark colour read as depth rather than as shine. The wire-brushed texture works with it, and the 5/8″ engineered board carries a 4 mm wear layer.
A floor for great rooms, galleries, libraries and principal suites, and for architecture confident enough to be grounded rather than lightened.
