Oak Rosario – European White Oak

European Oak Flooring Oak Rosario

Oak Rosario is a light natural European white oak on a 10 1/4″ board — pale enough to keep a room open, warm enough that it never turns clinical. It is the tone most often specified when a client asks for “light, but still wood”.

The grading is Select ABC, a controlled blend of clean boards and boards carrying genuine character. On a pale colour this is what gives the floor its quiet interest: knots and grain read as soft shadow rather than contrast, and no single board pulls the eye.

The surface is wire-brushed, which removes the softer spring grain and leaves the dense summer grain standing slightly proud. You feel it underfoot before you notice it in the light, and it is one of the reasons a wide, pale floor still reads as timber rather than as a sheet material. Over it, polyurethane with aluminium oxide gives a matt, hard-wearing surface, and the 5/8″ engineered board holds a 4 mm wear layer in reserve for future refinishing.

A natural fit for daylight-driven interiors — glazed living spaces, garden rooms, penthouse floors and pale-palette apartments where the floor is asked to carry light rather than absorb it.
