Oak Maui – European White Oak

European Oak Flooring Oak Maui

Oak Maui is a natural-toned wide plank whose character is carried by touch as much as by colour. The boards are wire-brushed, a process that wears away the soft early-growth grain and leaves the dense late-growth grain standing proud, so the surface has a fine, directional relief that the foot registers immediately and raking light picks out across the room.

The colour beneath is the natural tone of European white oak, warm-neutral and unforced, and Select ABC grading keeps a mix of clean and characterful boards so the texture has grain figure to work with.

At 10 1/4″ wide and up to 86 5/8″ long, the plank is generous enough for the brushing to read as an overall surface quality rather than a board-by-board effect. Polyurethane with aluminium oxide protects it without filling the texture flat, and the 5/8″ engineered board carries a 4 mm wear layer.

A textured wide plank of this kind is a favourite in family houses and hospitality interiors, where the brushed surface keeps its composure under real use and reads beautifully barefoot.
