French oak allowed to be itself. Natural 1 is the honest colour of the timber, given only enough reactive stain to even the tone and bring the grain forward — warm, unforced and completely timeless.
Three ranges are made. The heaviest, Range 1, is authentically wire-brushed and undulated, with deeper marks and rounded edges that highlight the veins of the oak in a curved pattern of the utmost luxury. The quietest, Range 2, is brushed very lightly for a planed, consistent, contemporary surface that keeps the colour authentic. The most characterful, Range 3, is aged and distressed, with chipped edges, shade differences, colour accents and discoloration around the knots.
It can be cut as straight plank, chevron, herringbone or Versailles panel, in widths of 5″ to 12″, fixed or random, and lengths of 6′ to 10′, at 5/8″ or 3/4″ thickness, solid or engineered, with a 5–8 mm wear layer.
A natural French oak floor is the most enduring specification there is: it flatters every palette, never dates, and lets art, textiles and joinery carry the colour of the room.
