A quiet, warm beige — the most versatile colour in the Belgian range and the easiest to build an entire interior on. Produced as a reactive stain, the tone develops from the tannin in the French oak itself, giving it a depth and softness that surface colour cannot reproduce.
Three ranges are offered, and the choice between them changes the floor considerably. A heavy, authentic wire-brushing gives Range 1 its undulated surface, deeper marks and rounded edges, highlighting the veins of the oak in a curved pattern of the utmost luxury. A very light brushing gives Range 2 a planed, consistent, contemporary face that preserves the authenticity of the colour. Ageing and distressing give Range 3 its chipped edges, shade differences, colour accents and discoloration around the knots.
Made as straight plank, chevron, herringbone or Versailles panel; 5″–12″ wide, fixed or random; 6′–10′ long; 5/8″ or 3/4″, solid or engineered; 5–8 mm wear layer.
