A 12-inch board is the widest format European oak is regularly produced in, and it changes a room in a way no colour can. At this width the floor presents as a series of broad, uninterrupted timber panels; the eye reads material rather than pattern, and the architecture of the room comes forward.
Rustic grading is the right partner for that scale. It keeps the knots, the mineral streaks and the sweeping cathedral figure that a wide board is broad enough to display properly, and medium variation allows real tonal movement from board to board — the quality that separates a natural timber floor from a uniform one.
The colour is natural European oak, left to its own warm-neutral tone. The wire-brushed surface follows the grain, giving texture underfoot and breaking reflected light so a floor of this size never glares, and a silk matte finish holds the sheen low. The board is a full 3/4″ thick with a 3.2 mm wear layer, supplied in lengths to 9′ 8″.
It is specified for open-plan living, converted industrial spaces, country houses and any interior where the timber itself is meant to be the finish.
