Oak Cive is a natural European oak on an 8.6″ board — a width chosen carefully. It is meaningfully more generous than the 7 1/2″ standard, which gives a room the calm of a wide plank, yet stays comfortably in scale in a house of ordinary proportions where a ten- or twelve-inch board would dominate.
The colour is the true tone of European oak, warm-neutral and adaptable, and Rustic grading keeps the knots, mineral streaks and figure that make a natural floor convincing. Medium variation gives real tonal movement between boards.
The surface is wire-brushed, lifting the grain so it can be felt underfoot and seen in raking light, and protected with a UV-cured finish applied and hardened in the factory — consistent, durable and ready to use as soon as the floor is laid. A 5/8″ engineered core carries a 4 mm wear layer.
