A very pale, bleached grey — light and airy, with the cool clarity of driftwood and sun-faded timber. The reactive stain generates the colour within the oak, so even at this pale a tone the grain keeps its definition and the floor remains unmistakably wood.
Specify it in one of three ranges. In Range 1 the oak is heavily and authentically wire-brushed, the surface undulated, the marks deeper and the edges rounded, so the veins of the timber are highlighted in a curved pattern of the utmost luxury. In Range 2 the brushing is very light indeed, leaving a planed, consistent and contemporary surface that preserves the authenticity of the colour. In Range 3 the board is aged and distressed, with chipped edges, shade differences, colour accents and discoloration around the knots.
Every dimension is set to the project — 5″ to 12″ wide, fixed or random, 6′ to 10′ long, 5/8″ or 3/4″ thick, solid or engineered, with a 5–8 mm wear layer — in straight plank, chevron, herringbone or Versailles panel.
