Monarch is the exception in the naming: no place, no pigment, just a claim about the board. The colour is a natural oak lifted with white — light and luminous, but with the timber’s own warmth still reading underneath, so the floor holds both registers at once.

That duality is difficult to achieve and is the reason the shade is so useful. Against cool marble and pale plaster it reads white; against linen, oak joinery and stone it reads natural. Few floors move between palettes so willingly.

Select grading keeps the boards even so the effect stays consistent across the room, and the wire-brushed surface gives the white pigment open grain to settle into — the detail that keeps a whitened floor unmistakably timber. Polyurethane with aluminium oxide provides a matt, resilient factory-cured finish. Boards are 7 1/2″ wide in 74 3/4″ random lengths, 9/16″ engineered, with a 3 mm wear layer.
