French Oak Flooring Oak Bois Flotte Select
The composed version of driftwood. The same silvered grey-brown and the same lifted, weathered quality — sorted to Select grade, so knots are small, sapwood is gone, and the tone holds steady from one end of a room to the other.
The difference between this and the Light Rustic driftwood is not colour but temperament. Light Rustic reads as found material; Select reads as a decision. In a large open plan, where forty or fifty boards are in view at once, that steadiness is what keeps a pale grey floor serene.
Boards are 8 3/4″ wide in 78″ random lengths on a 5/8″ engineered core, carrying a 5 mm wear layer — among the most generous offered, and enough to be refinished repeatedly over the life of the floor. Finished in matt lacquer with micro-beveled edges.
Oak Bois Flotte Select suits open-plan apartments, gallery spaces and interiors where the floor is the pale, even ground for everything standing on it. It pairs cleanly with white oak joinery, pale marble and brushed nickel — and, unusually for a grey floor, with warm brass.
