A cool, pale grey drawn across French oak and cut into chevron. Because the colour is a reactive stain, it is generated by the tannin already in the oak rather than laid on the surface — so the grey settles into the grain, reads silver in daylight and closer to stone at night, and the mitred points of the chevron give that shift somewhere to travel.
The programme offers three surface ranges. The first is heavily and authentically wire-brushed, undulated, with deeper marks and rounded edges that lift the veins of the oak into a curved pattern of the utmost luxury. The second is brushed only very lightly, leaving a planed, consistent, contemporary surface that preserves the authenticity of the colour. The third is aged and distressed, with chipped edges, shade differences, colour accents and discoloration around the knots, so that no two pieces are alike.
Widths run from 5″ to 12″, fixed or random; lengths from 6′ to 10′; thickness 5/8″ or 3/4″, solid or engineered, over a 5–8 mm wear layer. Straight plank, herringbone and Versailles panel are equally available in this colour.
