European Oak Flooring Oak Chambord Chevron
Named for the great Loire château, Oak Chambord Chevron is a grey-toned European oak cut into true mitred chevron blocks. The pairing is deliberate: chevron is a French court pattern, and a cool, ash-grey oak brings it firmly into the present without softening its formality.
Grey suits chevron particularly well because the pattern is read through shadow. Where each pair of blocks meets, the grain reverses direction, and a grey tone makes that reversal legible from across the room — the floor appears to fold along its centre line.
The blocks are graded Select, so the timber stays calm and the geometry stays the subject. Each is 5″ wide by 19 3/4″ long on a full 3/4″ engineered core with a 3.2 mm wear layer. The surface is wire-brushed to hold the grey in the grain and finished silk matte to keep the sheen low.
A floor for entrance halls, drawing rooms, private dining rooms and boutique hospitality interiors, and a natural partner to pale plaster, blackened steel, marble and antique mirror.
