Oak Portage is natural European white oak at its most straightforward — the true colour of the timber, neither lightened nor deepened, warm-neutral and completely at ease with itself. It is the tone that never dates, and the one designers return to when a scheme has to stay open to change.

Select grading keeps the boards calm and consistent, with straight grain and small tight character marks, so the natural colour reads evenly across the floor rather than shifting from board to board.

The wire-brushed texture lifts the grain and gives the surface a quiet relief you feel underfoot, while polyurethane with aluminium oxide protects it with a matt, hard-wearing film that holds up in the busiest rooms. Boards are 7 1/2″ wide in 74 3/4″ random lengths on a 9/16″ engineered core with a 3 mm wear layer.

A natural oak of this kind is the safest and most flexible ground in an interior: it flatters both cool and warm palettes, sits comfortably with every stone, and lets art, textiles and joinery carry the colour.
