French Oak Chevron Flooring Oak Sable
Sable is French for sand, and Oak Sable takes the cooler reading of it: a soft, dry grey closer to weathered driftwood than to a golden oak. There is no pink and no orange in it at all. It is the most neutral colour in the range, and in chevron the grey holds the geometry cleanly — the pattern reads first, the tone stays quiet behind it.
The point is fixed at 5 1/2″ × 25″. Every board is cut to the same angle so the Vs run true down the length of a room — the wider proportion, which gives a longer, more architectural point than the narrow Parisian format.
Sorted to Light Rustic, so knots and fine mineral marks stay visible in the wood. On a sand tone that character reads as texture rather than as contrast, and it is what keeps the pattern looking crafted.
A 9/16″ engineered core carries a 4 mm wear layer under a urethane matt lacquer — low sheen and genuinely hard-wearing.
Oak Sable Chevron is at its best in entrance halls, dining rooms, boutiques and light-filled living spaces, and sits especially well with pale limestone, rattan and unlacquered brass.
