Blocks are fixed at 5 1/2″ × 31″, a long block that gives the pattern a broad and generous rhythm rather than a busy one. Sorted to Rustic grade, so knots, filled character marks and open grain all remain in the wood: the honey tone moves noticeably from block to block, and that movement is where the depth comes from.

It is finished in oil, which bonds into the top fibres of the wood rather than building a film over them. The result is an open, matte surface that can be refreshed and touched up locally, and that continues to develop character as the floor is lived on. A 9/16″ engineered core carries a 4 mm wear layer.
