A soft, warm beige laid as herringbone. The colour comes from a reactive stain, which draws on the tannin naturally present in French oak, so the tone is created inside the timber and every board receives it slightly differently — exactly the gentle inconsistency that makes an old European herringbone floor so convincing.
Three ranges are made. Range 3 is the most worked of them: aged and distressed, chipped at the edges to simulate the marks of ordinary wear, with shade differences, colour accents and discoloration around the knots that give every block its own character. Range 1 is heavily and authentically wire-brushed, undulated, with deeper marks and rounded edges highlighting the veins of the oak in a curved pattern of the utmost luxury. Range 2 is the quietest — very lightly brushed for a planed, consistent, contemporary finish that keeps the colour entirely authentic.
Beyond herringbone, the same colour is produced as straight plank, chevron and Versailles panel. Pieces run 5″–12″ wide, fixed or random, 6′–10′ long, 5/8″ or 3/4″ thick, solid or engineered, over a 5–8 mm wear layer.
Warm beige herringbone belongs in panelled halls, drawing rooms and dining rooms, and sits beautifully with painted joinery, marble, brass and antique rugs.
