This is the Select grade version, and the grade is the point of it. Knots are small and few, sapwood is sorted out, and the shade moves gently rather than jumping from board to board. Across a wide plank that restraint is what allows the floor to read as a single quiet surface.
Boards are 8 3/4″ wide in 78″ random lengths on a 5/8″ engineered core, carrying a 5 mm wear layer — one of the most generous in the collection, and thick enough to be sanded and refinished repeatedly across the life of the floor. The surface is a matt lacquer urethane, low in sheen and built for daily life.
Oak Cafe Creme Select comes into its own in open-plan living rooms, principal suites and long hallways, where the floor carries from one space into the next without a visual break.
